Document before changing anythingI take a copy of the site as it is before any change, so we have a fallback and clear evidence.

Find the cause, not just the damageDeleting injected pages isn't enough. What matters is how they got there, and fixing that.

Explain things plainlyAt every stage you know what I'm doing and why, without jargon you don't need.

Ask for the least access neededI only ask for the access the job needs, and I recommend changing your logins after handover.

Be straight with youIf your site isn't hacked, I'll say so. And I won't promise perfect protection nobody can deliver.

Hand over a written summaryWhat I found, what I changed, and what I'd suggest next.

Move fast, never rushedI start as soon as you agree, and order the work so your site is back without losing the evidence.

Follow up after handoverI keep an eye on the site and search results afterwards, to make sure the infection hasn't come back.
